Re: XOBXOB.h: No such file or directory.

I think I see see what the problem is. The .zip file is not set up to be added using the "Add .ZIP library" command. If you look at the path: C:\Users\Eric\Documents\Arduino\libraries\XOBXOB_Arduino-master\XOBXOB\src\XOBXOB.h You'll see the level, "XOBXOB_Arduino-master". That sh...

Re: Set led on arduino by xobxob url link

Hi. Thanks for your question! Yes, you can use a RESTful call to send messages through a XOB. There's more information in this forum link: http://forum.xobxob.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=249. The catch is that you can't use a simple <a></a> link in HTML. You need to use a POST request rather than a ...

Re: restful api?

You've raised some interesting points. Regarding timing, XOBXOB currently only implements polling. So, the Arduino will have to poll XOBXOB periodically to see if anyone has asked for anything. Also, the display will have to poll to see if anything has been returned. You'd also have to add some comm...

Re: restful api?

Great! So, a XOB can hold a number of messages, each of which has a value. The name of the message and the values are arbitrary (with some constraints). When you create an account, your first XOB is created for you. Right now, it's called "XOB" which is a little confusing. I hope to releas...

Re: restful api?

Right now there's no formal documentation, but here's a quick version. XOBXOB implements Create, Read, Update, and Delete for XOB's associated with your account. Each of these requests must be accompanied by your APIKey which you can find on your dashboard when you log in. The APIKey is included as ...

Re: XOBXOB_Ethernet library: void function returns a value?

Hi. Thanks for your post! That's a good point. Thanks for bringing it up. To fix the issue, we've just pushed an update to github that removes the "return" since Ethernet stop() doesn't return a value anyway (https://github.com/XOBXOB/XOBXOB_Arduino). We haven't had a chance to update the ...

Re: about xobxob connector application

Yes. That's the one. The release was pushed without changing the service pointer from the local dev environment. Too many late nights before Maker Faire. :-)

Re: about xobxob connector application

By the way, we discovered a bug in the Connector application that was preventing it from properly connecting to XOBXOB. A new version fixing the problem has been posted in the download section of XOBXOB and on GitHub.

Re: about xobxob connector application

Great information, thanks! The Connector app was built using Processing. It's possible the problem has to do with the Java library Processing is using. The problem doesn't seem to be consistent, though.

Re: Doing a PUT

Hi James. There's a new method in the XOBXOB libraries to update the value of a single XOB message. The method is called updateXOB and takes three strings as arguments for the XOB name, the message name, and the message contents. So for your example, the call might be: updateXOB ("MORSE", ...
